Get Paid To...
PeopleString -- It's like Facebook, but it pays.
I have come across a site called PeopleString, which is a social community, like Facebook or MySpace, but with a twist. These guys will pay you to use them, a portion of their advertising income. They have games you can play, they offer you an email address, as well as letting you check other email accounts from inside your account. You can also connect to a variety of IM programs such as MSN and Yahoo! Messenger.
When it comes to getting paid at PeopleString, you are assigned PeoplePoints for logging in and being an active member of the site. These points are tallied and used to determine how much of the advertising revenue is split with you. You can also earn points for referring members who are active, for six levels down. Also, you will get 50 cents for every referral who signs up directly under you.
I like this program because it offers so much. You can get your own blog, chat in the forums, post photo albums, check email, and play games, all from the same site. Another interesting feature is "Self-destructing email." When sending emails from your peoplestring.com email account, you can send self-destructing emails. What happens is the text you enter in to your email is converted to text on an image, and that image is the content of the email. When the image has been loaded (email been read,) or whenever you choose, the image will be replaced with a blank one, effectively destroying the email.
This site definately has promise, and I believe that a good user base will help it grow. Signup today and add me as a friend if you want. My username is justinchristensen.
Dungeons & Treasures -- Getting paid to dungeon crawl was never this much fun.So today I was clicking some ads at some of my favourite PTC sites, when I came across a new Get Paid To Play site called Dungeons & Treasures. I already play Exodus 3000, but I find it kind of boring sometimes, like I'm just trying to use my turns up. This game was different, and I didn't want to finish for the day to be honest. While Exodus 3000 takes place in the future, this game is in medieval times. When you log in you are presented with a menu with options such as shops where you can purchase items and equipment, and the tavern where you can find dungeons (???). Actual gameplay takes place in these dungeons, which are randomly generated when you first enter one. You use simple keyboard arrow key controls to move, and combat is turn based. You can die 3 times a day, then you must leave the dungeon and try to continue the next day. You are only allowed one entry in to the dungeon per day. Whiel dungeon crawling you will come across potions and gold that you can pickup. Gold is used to purchase items, but is also how you get paid to play this game. After each month, they determine a rate for gold to cash (US$), and convert all gold amounts into cash. At $10 you can cashout. Another thing you will find in the dungeons is keys, which can be used after you are done in the dungeon to play the chest game. Basically, four chests will appear. You pick one. A random amount of gold is inside. Simple. They have a referral program as well, where you earn a percentage of the gold your referrals earn. They pay for 3 levels; first level referrals earn you 30%, second level earns you 15%, and third level earns you 5%. From just my first day I find myself just waiting for tomorrow so I can play again. I will also keep you posted as to how the conversion works out at the end of the "adventure," basically how much I actually get paid, but I encourage you to try it out yourself. I believe that by supporting things like this is how they get to really work and last, and I think this one really has potential. Perhaps a newer polished interface down the road, but I like it already, so check it out. Follow the link below. On an average day there are more than 30 links to click, each one worth a full 1 cent. This might not sound like much to the average person, but if you frequent PTC sites already, then you know that's quite a bit. In under a week, and being lazy and forgetting to click a couple days, I already have $1.95 in my account, with no referrals. They do have a referral program as well. Everytime someone you referred clicks an ad, you get another cent. So with just one referral who actively clicks everyday, you can double the amount you make with these guys. When it comes to payment, bux.to offers two types of payment. One is through AlertPay, which is like PayPal, and you need $50 to cashout this way. The other method is to put it on a bux.to Mastercard. I wouldn't really recommend this, but maybe you like the idea. First of all, you will need $75 to cashout. It is supposed to be quicker payment I believe. I don't like the fact that it costs $49.95 for the card. They say it comes with $10 on it, and you will get 5 referrals as well, but I don't know if that is really worth it. Feel free to comment if you believe otherwise. Everything taken into consideration this is my favourite PTC program. I will be sure to keep you updated with proof of payment when it happens. Last Updated (Tuesday, 05 January 2010 13:43) |
Swagbucks -- Search & Win, Trade & Grin!Swagbucks is a website that pays you to search the internet exactly the same way you do now. All they ask is you search through them, and they will pull answers from Google and Ask.com. They have other ways to earn too, mostly following their blog and twitter and things like that. This site doesn't actually give you cash for searching, the give you points called Swagbucks (didn't expect that one did you?) which can be used to purchase items from their MASSIVE online catalogue. They have sooooo many things to choose from, there is something for everyone, and if you don't see anything you want, you can just redeem them for gift certificates to use on Amazon, at Blockbuster, and many other places. Basically, they try to reward you for using the Swagbucks search engine like you would any other search engine. You won't get 1 swagbuck per search or anything like that. Instead, you receive swagbucks at random times when searching, sometimes one the second page of results, sometimes on the first. These are not always for a specific amount either. In this way, they hope to reward the users who are actually searching and not the ones who just keep searching random things. If the engine thinks you are trying to cheat, you will get less swagbucks, and more if you just search like a normal human. Of course Swagbucks also has a referral program, where you will earn the same amount of swagbucks as your direct referrals. So if your referral won 2 swagbucks on a search, you would get 2 swagbucks put in your account. I certainly recommend Swagbucks as my favourite site that pays to search. I might take a while to save up enough swagbucks to get anything, but if you just remember to use them instead of Google or whatever search engine you currently use, the swagbucks will start to add up.
